The Carriageworks is a thriving theatre at the heart of Leeds' Millennium Square.

It showcases the best new national and regional performances with a dynamic programme of theatre, dance, comedy and film.

At the same time it provides support to young and emerging theatre makers, offering them a key platform to develop their work.

The Carriageworks also gives opportunities for members of the local community to take part in a variety of high quality arts activities, and is home to the Leeds Civic Arts Guild.

This is an umbrella group of performing societies offering the opportunity for local people to experience making theatre in a fully-functioning professional venue.

There are two performance spaces.

The Main Auditorium is a proscenium arch theatre with a capacity of 350, and caters for larger-scale productions.

Upstairs@thecarriageworks is an intimate and flexible studio space with a maximum capacity of 65, and hosts an innovative selection of fresh and exciting new work.

The Carriageworks runs a youth theatre.

Aimed at young people aged 10 - 16, The Theatre Academy is led by the nationally renowned Theatre company.

The course runs from September - July and including participation in 3 major productions.

Please see our link above. Please note that concessionary tickets are not posted and you will need to bring proof of concession to Box Office for collection.

In Person:
Tickets can be bought in person from the City Centre Box Office, which is situated in The Carriageworks at Ground Floor Level.

All major credit and debit cards welcome. Please have your cards handy when booking tickets.

Our Box Office is open: Monday - Saturday, 10am - 6pm except show days, when open until 15 mins after the start of the performance. Sundays open 30 mins prior to start of performance.


Pricing: Concessions & Discounts:
Concessions are generally available for Leeds Card holders, NUS card holders, the unwaged, under 16s and OAPs at the advertised concessionary ticket price.
