The Civic and Cramphorn Theatres are situated in the heart of Chelmsford's West End, programming a wide variety of entertainment including: concerts, plays, ballet, pantomime, opera, jazz, dance, musicals, comedy, film and live music.

The Civic Theatre is a 505 seat auditorium which offers a varied programme of large scale professional, touring and amateur events throughout the year, from classical drama and dance to an eclectic musical programme and all time family favourites.

The Cramphorn Theatre (adjoining the Civic) is an intimate studio theatre seating up to 177 and presents a programme of smaller scale professional touring theatre, live music and lunchtime concerts, as well as being renowned for its innovative mix of art house, world and mainstream film screenings.

On Foot:
The Chelmsford Theatres are situated in the heart of Chelmsford's West End. Both venues are only a short walk from the train station and adjacent to the new bus terminal.

By Car:
The theatres can only be accessed via Parkway (ringroad). Look for the turning viz Rainsford Road. There are a number of carparks in the vicinity, the nearest being Fairfield Road car park accessed via Coval Lane (charges now apply at all times). Please note there is a limited availability Monday - Friday before 5pm. Alternative pay car parks, Townfield and West End, can be found near Chelmsford railway station.

Look for the brown signs around Chelmsford directing you to the Theatre.
